I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Are they worth it?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
